A pretty little bird with a nice catchlight in his eye. I love the yellow color on his head. Color balance and Dof seem adequate. I would have liked a bit more light on the back of the bird and a little less focus on the berries. They are bright, and draw my eye away from the bird. |

I just love Bird of Paradise. I took them for granted when I was growing up, and now that I live in a colder climate, I aways appreciate them when I see them. They are just such interesting flowers. Your color balance and Dof appear to be adequate, but on my monitor, both the original and the final image are a bit soft although in some places the original seems sharper than the final which I don't understand. Several of the yellow pedals are hot and/or have shadows, I'd suggest using a diffuser to get more even light on the flower. |

This is an interesting cactus flower. Nice Dof as you captured all of the flower. Focus seems to be good and the color is nice. If this image is about the bee, I would crop it in a little more because, as the subject, the bee is quite small. If the image is about the flower, I'd crop it even tighter than you did. In my opinion, the objects in the foreground, which are out of focus, don't add to the image. |

Looks like we both had flying birds this month. I just love pelicans. This guy is definitely coming in for a landing. Love the feet! The color balance and DoF look good but on my monitor, the whole bird is a bit soft. Your shutter speed was fast so don't know why that is. I'm wondering if your focus point wasn't on the bird? Fun image.
