Pretty bird. We don't have Cardinals here so I love seeing them. Good exposure on the reds. Red is sometimes a hard color to expose well and you did a nice job. The bright trunks on the sides are distracting. Potentially they could provide a nice frame for the bird but as composed they are almost half the image. Also, stepping to the sunny side of the bird would have given a view of his eye and a better view of that red beak. The bird also seems to be soft. |

I like the idea of this leaky faucet and the bird finding relief in the summer. The most distracting issue for me is that the subjects, water and bird, are out of focus. |

Overall I like the composition with the new snow in the foreground and the grasses in the corner. The image seems a little dark in the foreground and that's almost a third of the image. Also the focus on the gold grasses which are a main subject is soft. |

Wow, that sure is a red eye! Great capture. Frog is sharp, good DoF, overall a great, interesting image. I would maybe take some of the highlights down on his back but that's just a minor suggestion. This is a beautiful image with the focus where it counts. Nice composition as well. How did you get him to pose on the pink leaf in that light? :) |

I love Dalias and this is a beaut. I'm also liking this little piece of summer as the snow is coming down outside my window. I like the composition and placement of the bee. The center of the flower and the bee are a nice counterbalance. The color is a bit intense on my monitor. Those red tones can be difficult to capture in my experience. The image also seems to be a bit soft. I love all the detail in the center of the flower. I would have liked to see the camera raised just a hair so as not to cut off the yellow petals. |
