That's funny. I was thinking it might be a typo so I went through the 40's. I noticed his shutter speed was 1/1250 so he wasn't trying to do a blur. On mine my shutter speeds were 1/30-1/20 range as I was trying to do more of an impressionistic blur of the energy. Thanks for pointing his image out to me. |

Good for you for experimenting with high contrast. That's how we grow. I looked at group 42 but didn't see Issac's name. |

I love your composition and the camel on the left kicking his leg out. I also love how everything except the camels are faded or blurred. It gives a sense of place. I also like your composition with the vast, orange sky which also really adds to the sense of place. |

I thought this was an interesting image but until I read your description, I thought this was about an injured horse because of the wrapping on the legs and the legs being the foreground. On my monitor, parts of the image look a little "hot" including the hoof in the center foreground. I actually didn't notice the sweat on the horse until I read your description so, at least on my monitor, the sweat doesn't stand out as the subject. |

Since your title mentioned the Coreopsis I was assuming that you intended them to be the subject. However, there aren't enough of them to "hold" as the subject and my eye blew past them to the dark tree. I agree that it appears to be underexposed. I think that Walter did a good crop to improve attention to the subject. |

This is a sharp image and your angle of view is nice. The flower does look like it's just on the cusp of being over exposed and the shadows detract from the overall design. I'd recommend carrying a diffuser with you which would have blocked those harsh shadows and improved the color. I also like Walter's crop which produces a cleaner composition. |

I like lily's and I like your composition and angle of view. On my monitor, only the near edge of the flower is in focus and the bottom of the flower is washed out. I'm wondering if you have a diffuser? I have one that I use with a plamp that I can stick right in the ground. I think I diffuser would have helped with the highlights. |

I'm not seeing the ghosting you're talking about. |
