Walter, I guess if an image can inspire someone to experience a new aspect of nature, that's a good thing. Thanks. |

I appreciate your comments and I did struggle with the composition in terms of how to crop. I'll take a look at crops that put more of the clearer birds in the center. Thanks for your comments. It's really quite difficult to get this action so it's a work in progress. |

Interesting concept and contrast of the living and the dead. Color seems good though flower seems a little soft. I would consider cropping more and making it a vertical. Also, the branch that is crowding the flower bothers me. Maybe just changing your POV so there is a little separation between the flower and branches? A nice concept. |

Really nice action shot. You did a very good job of keeping the animals in focus. I would consider cropping the foreground and leaving just a little of the dirt. As for the fence, did you try a curves layer to bring down the brightness? That sometimes works. I wonder if you did a shot with the POV putting the animals more in the foreground and how that changed the impact of the fence. All that said, these action shots are hard and when you're focusing on moving animals, it's difficult to keep all the distractions out. |

I like the color and the detail of this image. The leaves running horizontal in the top right are distracting and I would have held them back (when I shoot in my garden, I have various things that I can use to hold back distractions without damaging the plant). Also, the little of the petal on the left is interesting and I would have tried to emphasize that more. That said, exposure, color balance and focus are all great. Reds are difficult to shoot and you did a nice job. |
