Beautiful, sharp image. I love that the butterfly has landed on a flower that is a complimentary color to his wings. That makes this image pop. |

The flowers are gorgeous and I love the dew drops visible on the leaves. I agree that the DoF is too shallow and I like the cropped image omitting the trees. While the flowers in front are in focus, they need to stand out more to be a strong image as now, when I look at it, I'm not sure where my eye is suppose to land and I find myself wandering around the image. |

Good sharp portrait with interesting detail in the feathers. Good color balance. I actually like the space allowed for the subject in your original image. As the others said, I think a lower angle would be more intimate. |

I appreciate your feedback, Kerry. I have another image of a blast off where some of the geese are identifiable. I may post it in June and see what people think. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your input, Pauline. I appreciate your feedback. It was quite useful. I have another snow geese blast off blur and the birds are more defined. I may post it next month. |

I like the definition that the side lighting gives to his face. As is your style, well exposed and in focus. I like that you can really see the details and hairs on his head. To me, he looks like he's been working hard. |

I like you cropped version, Walter. That was a good addition. As always, tack sharp, focus right on the eyes. My only criticism is the light band on his right is distracting and in a perfect world, I would have had him remove that branch that's crossing his forehead. However, it does give him a sense of place! |

I actually tried in black and white as I had the same thought. It lost too much of it's definition and the birds were less distinct. |
