Great image. I thought that it was perfect the way it was, but having the advantage of seeing Tony's suggestions, I agree with those who would remove the flowers on the left. It is an amazing picture with both the bird and flowers so clear and sharp. |

Grace, you have the most interesting images and this one is no different. I loved the story and I am fascinated with the images. I prefer the original, it is so unusual and thought provoking. The plants and thick low clouds give it a very surreal effect,

What sharpness. How did you ever get that close with a 105mm lens? I can certainly identify with uninvited squirrels helping themselves to bird seed. I like the blurred background and the sharpness of the entire squirrel, head to tail. I also like the sense that its eye is looking right at you. If i would suggest anything it would be to lighten the shadow on the squirrels head.
Nice picture. |

You certainly accomplished your goal, the image definitely has a surreal look about it. I like the softness and of the edges and the blurred color lines. I must say, I am quite taken with the first image as well. |

First of all, I am a lighthouse lover, as a result, i immediately liked the picture. I like the enhanced color, particularly the sky. I also like that it is not set on a cliff or huge rock in the middle of the ocean. The lighthouse is the dominating feature, not the landscape. I am fascinated by the optical illusion caused by the stripes, there must be a purpose, I wonder what it is?

I have attempted to incorporate the suggestions. Although, I can't seem to equal the results John achieved. Thanks for all of the comments, the were a huge help. |

Great capture. I liked the recap of how you made the picture. I thought the description of just moving closer and shooting until the rabbit ran was tremendous. Depth of field is remarkable, as is, the separation from the background. Looking at this image has to leave one marveling at nature's
camouflage. |

Great picture John, I feel myself being pulled right into it. As Nigel said, I would really need to work very hard to find anything to criticize. I love the black and white. The sky and clouds are phenomenal.

Fascinating image, I was captivated by the level of detail and the number of stories it contains. I can't really see anything I would change beyond the suggestions Theresa made, which I think were right on target. |

I really like the effect of the sunlight coming from the mountains. I am not sure that an out-of-focus foreground would hurt the image. I think that darkening it resulted in a very large dark area in the bottom left. Overall, I really enjoy the image. |
