Image captivated me immediately, it drew me right in and kept me focused. Great depth of field. I had an art teacher who would talk about the "window to nowhere" that sense that the scene extended into infinity. This image has that. |

Grace, nice image and as always a very interesting view of a scene. In this case I agree with Tom and Ian, the original is a strong image. I find the the attention of the spectators on the girl is riveting and I believe you lose some of that with the blur. |

Les, what an interesting image. I like the yellowish tone and the filtered look into the yard. I enjoy the sense of timelessness that it provokes, it reminds me of looking out an old garage window when I was a child. I agree with both Tom and Barbara, I think you would have a stronger image if you cropped a row of panes from either the top or the bottom. |

The clarity of the water drops is amazing and the blurred background is perfect. I would like to see some additional sharpness in the buds making the edges of the petals more defined. |

What a great image, the dead rose offset by the white snow. There is so much that one can read into the picture. I really like the way that the rose leaps out and I like the way the the line formed by the leaves and the stem carry your eye to the rose. |

Thank you for your very thoughtful comments. I do need to work on selecting a focal point. Very often I get caught up in the scene and don't think enough about the anchor point in the image. I had hoped to capture the sense of power and energy of the waves. Looking at it now I can see that the areas of interest are competing with one another.
Thank you again for your insights, I really find them very helpful, |

I agree with the earlier comments and suggestions. I agree that it is a wonderful story telling image. I like Thresa's crop. I can see Jon's point about the tree trunk on the right but I am not sure I could do it without going to far. |

Gorgeous shot. The clarity is remarkable. I really like how the greens and reds of the foreground contrast with the pastel like background.
I didn't notice the triangle until Theresa mentioned, now I see at least three triangles and the really focus my eyes. |

Wonderful image. I love the leading lines and I am looking forwarding to using your technique soon, I really like how the light is concentrated on the building. I also like the fact that it is in black and white. |
