Barbara, I agree with the cropping suggestions. The tree does draw my eye from the sunset...and what a sunset. I also like the green in the foreground it works nicely with the orange sky. |

It does look cold. I love pictures of empty desolate areas and I love dramatic skies. I agree with Barbara regarding the sun. I would have left it alone, until I saw Tom's edits. I really like the sun on the right. |

I really like this picture. I do find the darkness in the lower right corner distracting. I think the cropping that Barbara suggested would remedy that issue. I did not have an issue with the brightness of the little girl. |

I too prefer the first one. The initial image really captures the age and dignity of the man. It also vividly displays the emotion that he still carries with him regarding the events. |
