I personally prefer the color version, but I think this is a much better crop. |

Judith, I agree with Mark so I cropped it in further with a 5x7 vertical crop (vertical to mimic the flower). I think when you originally cropped it lost some focus so I selected the flower only and sharpened it in LR. Then I used one of LR's blur presets and blurred the background. See if you like it? |

Judy, I believe she just has her leg bent back with her foot resting on the wall. You get a glimpse of her boot. The dark textured stone below her knee is probably what you are thinking was the result of cloning? |

Good point, Judy. I wanted to include him as the "competitor" but I could either clone him or select the helmet and make it a darker color??? |

The tight crop on the left makes me feel a little uncomfortable, but then the bird looks uncomfortable in the downpour... so on second thought, I think that works. :-) The background trees have interesting shapes. |

I agree, good focus and blur on the background. I'm not sure you need that much background. I cropped in and then removed some of the stick in the background, leaving the green part as I like the color balance with the green on the right. |

Ellen, Very nicely done. While you could remove the feathers around the edges, I don't see it as a big issue. I like the position of the peacock in the image, ever so slightly off center and at a bit of an angle to the viewer. I think that works well. My suggestion is to select the background feathers and adjust the contrast a little. Including my version. Just one option. |

I realize that she is leaning against the wall with her right foot supported there, but for me the overall effect does not work. It seems to place more light on her right thigh and creates an odd look. Because we can't easily see her lower leg and foot the question is "where did the rest of her leg go?" I think the color and texture of the stones around that leg add to this visual dilemma. Otherwise the lighting on the model is excellent and the warm tones of the yellow stones are very pleasing. |

I like the pose and the overall effect. I think I would crop out some of the draperies on the right hand side. I find them a little bit distracting. |

Thanks Mark. That's interesting because I was just going to submit the bw but then decided to use the color version. |

Bridget, I was just enjoying some of the images just posted for April and yours really caught my attention! Wow! Love the colors, leading lines, intentional blur. Not sure if it is just me but it does feel slightly skewed to the right? Regardless, great job!
