I enjoy this image very much. I agree with Patrick that removing a little from the left would provide better visual balance. After reading Patrick's review, I imported the image into LR. There is a new update to LR (and probably ACR) that I used. I selected the mask (dotted circle) option, then "landscape" (new option), then "water". It accurately masked the water. I then adjusted the water color. Here is the result. |

What a great way to spend the day for all concerned! I like both, but tried a few things with the bw. First I took it into Topaz AI and sharpened the face. Next, in LR I used the filter resets and selected PB01 (portraits bw 1) to increase contrast. Finally also in LR presets, I used a strong background blur. While it is a strong blur, I think there is enough to make the playground environment identifiable. Very cute kid! |

I like this very much. Great job with focus and I think the lighting and reflection also work well. As an aside, I have to admit having spent time photographing a snail in my yard, too. |

I understand your intent was to have the viewer "see thru" the fence, but I do have to agree with the others. I like it better without. The leading lines and light breaking through the clouds work quite well I think. |

I wasn't familiar with the term "Dutch angle shot"... so learned something new. I do like the result in this image. I think Leonid's example with the background blur works quite well. Her knee is quite close to the edge, so I agree with the need to add a little canvas. |

Interesting image. I agree that the photographer adds scale and I think interest. Otherwise it would in my opinion just be a photo of another persons art. I agree it needs adjustments to the lighting and contrast. In LR I selected the artwork, and also a separate selection of the photographer. With these separate masks I made adjustments to exposure, contrast, etc. Then I used a radial mask to lighten the photographer and area leading to the artwork. I cropped some from both top and bottom. I don't think the bottom adds to the photo. The sky is bland, possibly you could replace it with another of yours? All just suggestions. |

Thank you for your suggestions Phu. I can add a little canvas on the right. Also I will fix the grass that you spotted. :-) |
