I was just looking through DDG "current images" and yours caught my attention. I'm glad you included the original. Your treatment suits the subject well. I sometimes like a white vignette although I find a lot of photographers do not. I think it suits your image well. I also enjoy the grainy quality that you included. Great job! |

John, I enjoy photographing flowers and your image caught my attention. I agree with the comment above. I hope you don't mind but I am including my version. I removed some of the white (buds?) distractions in the background as well as a couple flowers that were cut off at the edge of frame. Then in LR I added a radial gradient to a randomly selected area. I used this to lighten the area and hopefully create a little depth and direct the viewer to a particular area. Just a suggestion. |

It is always the photographer's choice, how the image is presented. I enjoy the image as presented but agree that including more surroundings would give the image a sense of oddity. The viewer might be more inclined to ask "why is this umbrella up but without anyone near it"? |

I enjoy both the color and bw version, but agree the bw really adds something extra. Either way, the dreamy quality makes this work. |

Judy, What a great find! I love this sort of thing and glad you captured it. I hope you don't mind but I took it a couple of steps further. After some experimentation I changed it to bw in LR. Then I took the white sliders up all the way to the right, the black sliders down all the way to the left. In PS I removed the fine lines of the building and added a thin stroke. What do you think? Thank you for sharing this image. |

Lovely image of mother/ daughter. I'm sure they were pleased with it. I would have liked just a bit more contrast for the mother/daughter and for the background as well. I just made some minor adjustments to whites and hilites. Tried to bring out the beautiful detail in the bride's lace dress and train. A little to saturation of the background to give it a little pop |

I enjoy her pose and the swirl of her dress. There are a couple of tiny things to remove (really tiny!) such as the man in the yellow shirt in the background, piece of debris right beneath her skirt on the right. Maybe crop from the right to just include two posts. That will eliminate the runner and I think still be balanced. |
