Thank you all for your helpful comments. I see the distortion now and will work to correct it. |

Thank you for providing the original. Even that by itself is interesting. When I first looked at this, I saw sort of a heart shape. Now I see faces, maybe an owl's face? Maybe another futuristic robot like Walter's? |

The light from your son's headlamp and others in the group works very well in this image. An interesting subject makes for an interesting photo. I like the black space all around. Yes, the shark could be sharper, but still a good shot. |

For capturing this as your husband was driving by, I think you ended up with a good composition. As the others have mentioned, it is very grainy. This detracts from an otherwise interesting "man at work" photo. |

The flower heads lean a little to the right, which is where the light seems to be coming from. That feels authentic as flowers lean towards the sun. I feel as if the purple background detracts a little from the flowers. This could be resolved by desaturating it. In the future, I would place the subject a little farther away from the background. |

Time well spent on this one. The image has a great deal of interest. Not being familiar with megatron, I still got the sense of a huge futurist giant from this photo. I like Leonid's version. I think the image needs the bright light in the left corner, but a little more subdued as Leonid has presented it. When I enlarge the image on my screen it seems a little noisy. That might not be the case on your original. |

I agree with the others that it is a little too soft. Also, I prefer Leonid's bw version. It has more contrast which holds the viewer's interest better. Did you take any other photos of the old building? Lots of options with this subject. Of course, it might involve trying to avoid ticks and rattlesnakes to get closer!
