Walter, it is a trailing car. I thought I might make things worse if I tried to remove it, but possibly I could darken it to make it "disappear". Any suggestions? |

Beautiful colors in the flowers here. I agree the background is a little distracting. For me, it is more that it is on a "tilt". We can see the grout lines going uphill. |

Thank you for your comments Walter. I wondered about the trailing car? The starburst was original to the image. |

Judy, I like your subject and the detail that you have captured in the different eggshells. I think the lighting and the wood background work well. What I would like to see is some different compositions with the eggshells. The straight vertical line does not work as well for me as I think other combinations might. |

This is an excellent capture that tells a story. I think your crop and angle are well done. The person on the step does not bother me. Since he is not watching the chess players, it still tells a story of just the two men playing chess. I find it interesting that the white chess player is wearing white and the black chess player is wearing black. Perfect. |

I enjoyed this image. My only suggestion would be for you to consider cropping from the top. This draws the viewer into the scene better, I think. See my example. (I did not include your black border.) |

I can see why this is one of your favorites. The lighting on the model is perfect. I especially like the fact that she is looking right at the camera/ viewer. This draws the viewer into the photo. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. |

A great offering by your local club, to set up a model shoot for everyone. I like the way the light caught the long hair pulled back from her face. There is however a hotspot of light near her right shoulder. It's not a huge issue, but I do notice it. The image appears a little noisy when I enlarge it on my laptop. Should be an easy fix. |

Thank you for your thoughts on this. I do like what you have suggested. As for your comment about "the mountain" (that is what the locals call it), you do get used to seeing it, but it is always referred to: "Did you see the mountain today?" "It's so cloudy you can't even see the mountain." It's our local "anchor". :-) |
