30 May 23 Comment I prefer the bw for this image. I think cloning out the lower flying birds works as well as they are not well defined against the hills in the background. May 6th
30 May 23 Comment Very nice composition. Great leading lines. Shadows are sharp. I understand why you made the jacket red, but it almost seems too much for me. Try toning the red down a little. May 6th
30 May 23 Comment I would like to add some words of wisdom here, but the others have already said it. May 6th
30 May 23 Comment I love the composition here plus the fact that the bird is engaged in it's natural habit. I do like what Judy has done to sharpen and brighten the face. I am not opposed to white vignetting, many judges are however. For me, it depends on what you are planning on doing with the image. May 6th
30 May 23 Comment I think you did a great job capturing this. I agree that there is a ping-pong effect here. I would crop similar to Bill'sexample. You could move the background jumper into the photo. I could go either way on that. I feel Bill's example has too much white added. I prefer your original. May 6th
30 May 23 Comment It appears that the consensus is to mask out the horse to retain it's original form. I appreciate all your suggestions. May 6th
30 May 23 Reply Thanks for the suggestion Bill. I will try it.

89 May 23 Comment I agree you could crop a little tighter on the top. It does feel like the woodpecker and tree trunk are still a little soft. I do like that we are seeing this bird in its environment. May 22nd
89 May 23 Comment The eagle's pose, the detail in the feathers are all well done. For me there is too much space around the subject. Have you considered making this a vertical crop? At very least, you might try cropping in half the distance to the bottom of the branch on the left, and half to one-third the distance to the eagle on the right. May 22nd
89 May 23 Comment Very nice image of this family of birds. I especially like that we see the baby framed by its parent's legs. May 22nd
