Just as with my image, I like the crop you have suggested here, Judy. |

It feels to me as if the image is not level. There is something equal to a horizon line behind the balls, causing it to look as if it is going uphill to the left. I like the grasses on the far right but agree that the black area could be removed. Over all I enjoy the image.

Leonid I enjoyed this image very much, but I feel the subject couple need more attention. I gave it a vertical crop, added more light to the couple, using a brush. We still have the feel of the industrial area, have snow, track and incoming train but more attention is placed on the couple. Also, your choice, of course, but the object on the pavement in front of them does bother me as well. I did leave it in my version as you stated you want it there. |

I see a different composition here. I would crop out the bird on the far left. We do not see any of the red and he blends in with the grasses. I made a 4x6 crop, then I adjusted the white and black points to increase the contrast. Finally, I added a subtle vignette. See what you think.... |

Thanks for including the history of this structure. We have similar relics on the WA and OR coasts. They are interesting to visit and to photograph as you have done here, primarily to do with color. On my monitor the yellows seem to over power the image, taking my eye away from the subject building. You also have an amazing sky to work with which I think fits the subject's history. In LR I cropped in just slightly more, masked the sky and made small adjustments to bring out the "angry" clouds. I put a linear gradient on the yellow grasses and backed off a little on the yellows. Finally a placed a very light radial gradient on the building to draw more attention to it. I was trying to be subtle with the changes. |

Wonderful image of a "critter" going about its daily activities. I like that although subtle, there is even a little sheen on his nails. The cone might need a little work as it does not look as natural as everything else. Could the background be a little more blurred? Maybe, but not a big deal for me. |

Walter, I have enjoyed this image. It took me awhile to realize that only 1 person was real! This mural is what is called trompe l'oeil art and fools the eye. Because it is someone else's artwork, you did well to make it your own by choosing the sepia and including bits of the surroundings, plus the one "real" person entering the image. At first I was going to suggest removing the white turn arrow on the street. After looking at it more, I think I would like a tiny bit more of the arrow showing if you have it as it directs the viewers eye to the "opera". |
