Joan, I love the composition here. Beautiful colors, position of the basket, all tells a story. I know how busy these events can be. You were lucky to get this shot without any people.

That's what we are all here for.... to help learn new techniques as well as to catch the little things. :-)

Outstanding shot! The background is perfect. While I appreciate and enjoy images that have been focused stacked, it is nice for a change to see an insect which has not been "stacked". It looks more realistic to me. I like it.

Very nice composition and the bees add interest. The lack of detail in the petals does not bother me in this instance, instead it increases their delicate beauty. I have one tiny nitpick regarding the bottom petal. There is a little flaw that could easily be removed. Also, while I like the little bit of background we see, it also seems noisy to me. Not sure if that is actually from over processing? |

Great juxtaposition of the old buildings and street and the young woman on her cell phone. I might suggest cropping from the top, far enough to eliminate the sky. I think it works better, keeping the viewer focused on the environment and the girl. |

This is a lovely presentation of the different stages in nature. You did not say if you did anything to the background? It looks to me as if you may have cloned some things out, which left some evidence of that? Not sure. I do like the background colors against the subject. |

Judy I like what you have presented to the group this month. The three brushes are well placed on the diagonal. The blue handle of the center brush, contrasts nicely with the predominant yellows an oranges. I'm not certain if the brushes are a little over sharpened? Clever idea.

Thank you, Robert. I agree that sometimes replacements for historic items, often come off a bit cheesy. But these two working locomotives are so beautiful and so well kept, I enjoyed photographing them. I forgot to mention, that I did make a sky replacement using Luminar. When doing that my goal is to make it as natural as possible. Using Luminar you can select "reflection" for the sky. I do not remember selecting it, but the finished image does have a good sky reflection, so maybe it was "on" and I didn't notice? I'm new to this process.

Good observation about printing. Also, dependent on the paper or if on canvas.

Robert I am glad to see you are continuing with your project. I also can see the web, so no problem there. I like the crop as well. I tried a couple of other crops, but I thought they made the image less interesting. If I have any "critique" it is that for me the flower is overly detailed due to the focus stacking. For me it makes it appear too harsh. The background is excellent. |
