Thanks for this comment, Tom. It's always helpful to know what the photographer intended. |

I think this is the best composite you have shared with us. I do feel that the building walls are leaning in a little and could easily be straightened. But, otherwise, great image!

Love the feel to this! Definitely old western! I agree with additional contrast. I had thought it needed cropping as Judy suggested, but now am not so sure. Possibly a little off the right, but none off the top.

The position of the bird in its environment is excellent. I even like that it has one foot on the branch above water and the other, slightly into the water as the stick dips underwater. Sometimes there is only so much you can do with an image and I think this is the case here. Topaz Gigapixel did a lot for this image, I imagine, but it has lost detail and does look processed. As is, I think it looks more like a painting. Perhaps go even more in that direction. Play around with it more and make it look more painterly or more abstract. |

Leading lines are excellent, leading me down the dirt road, down and around the corner to??? The hillside in the background? That works for me. I can see why you wanted to enhance the storm clouds, but I agree, it does not look natural to me because of the brown. Perhaps backoff on that slightly. |

i agree with the others. I think you need to decide what your subject is: the sunset or the pier. I would chose the pier, myself. Brighten and enhance our view of it, adjust the sky accordingly although I do think it is beautiful as it is. |

I love this type of image although my first reaction was "yuk"!!! I think there are a variety of possible images here. Similar to Judy's suggestion, I would crop, leaving the upper left hand corner (faucet, drain and top half of actual sink). Thanks for sharing this one!

I appreciate your thoughts on this (as I do those of the group). Do I crop it to try to make it look as if they are actually going for a drive or do I leave the rest of the environment (purple car) so you can see it is part of an amusement ride. I'm going to try all the suggestions on this. If I leave the purple care in should I darken or desaturate it? That is the question. :-) (sorry... feeling a little Shakespearian today.)

Thanks Jody. Yes, I wish I had contact information for her. A great photo for little brother to share with her when, hands on hips, she says she is NOT bossy!

Excellent crop. The position of the cicada makes it look as if he is looking right at us. Great color and detail. I was in NM once when they were out. The sound just about drove me crazy! |
