Compositionally (is that a word?) I'd like to see a small crop adjustment top and bottom. Just enough to crop out the tips of the flower to match the crops on the sides. The current ratio can be maintained but I think it would then appear intentional rather than accidental. |

Thank you, Steven, for your thoughtful commentary. I, too, was sorry the light was not on the couple. |

This does make me feel as if we are being welcomed into the "secret world of bees". I would recommend cropping from the left, just enough to remove the blue area and the white bright spot, upper left as I find them visually distracting.
Be careful on that ladder!

This is a very pleasing composition. I enjoy the way the yellow flowers lower left, balance the flock of birds upper right. I also think the birds work well with the building. The image has a slight moodiness which I also enjoy. Also, I agree with Jody's adjustment to the black levels. Well done! |

I can see why you enjoy this peaceful setting. I do agree with Leonid about removing the black (barbecue cover?) from the left. The image seems flat to me. Perhaps make some saturation and luminance adjustments to create depth? |

It is interesting what these small differences make in terms of "the story" of this image. I appreciate all the suggestions.

In my version, I tried to make the emphasis on the hole, but I, did in fact, wonder if I had removed too much of the green. As always, just suggestion. I do like Roberts' crop. |

I enjoy abstracts such as this. I wonder what attracted you to this specific one? Was it the color? textures, lighting? I decided that for me, the hole and the blues are the appeal. I cropped, adjusted the light and colors to draw attention to what appealed to me the most. |

First, thanks for including the original. A lovely image, stands well as it is. Just for fun, I flipped it (something I actually seldom do), cropped slightly, increased the saturation and luminence on the flower, and decreased same on the background. Just an option. |
