Your creative images are fascinating to review, Leonid! The background is great and the placement of the cloth is also well done. My suggestions would be to brighten it a little. I know you wanted it dark, but for me it is too dark to fully enjoy. Also, in the future I would recommend planning out your composition a little more. I think there might be too many elements in this one. Looking forward to seeing your next one! |

I do not see any blown out areas on my monitor either. In the past I have found hosta leaves to be a interesting subject, even more when they are at the end as in this image. As mentioned before, bw works exceptionally well here. I do like the background leaves as you have presented them. Good position of the leaf and stem in the image. Well done! |

I know if my camera club were to look at this they would say to blur or remove the background. On the other hand, it doesn't bother me. I do like the smudge effect you used on this image. |

I'm in agreement with the other comments. Remove the cloud, crop a little. This is a very pleasing subject. Thank you for sharing it.

I'm not sure there is much you can do re the blown out areas. Sometimes it just is what it is. I don't actually see it as a problem in this image. |

My network was down earlier but is working now. I cropped and then added a sky in Luminar. What do you think? |

I enjoy your subject scene very much. My thoughts would be to crop off the right, just leaving the two tall trees. Then crop about 1/2 of the sky. Try some dodging/ burning or use a radial spotlight to draw our attention to the building using light. Since this is a place you can return to, I would encourage you to try more photos of this and similar scenes.

Tom, I like the colors and lighting better on this one than the one you submitted last month. Again, you have the sun just slightly off center, which is a good thing in my opinion. The horizon is level and in a good place in the image. But without something to look at ... a bird, a boat, a piece of driftwood... it just does not hold my attention. |

Yes. I agree, not sure which one I like better. Thanks for noticing the merger between the pepper and the mushroom. Easy fix. I will correct it.
