Beautiful capture of the sky in this image. Your horizon is nice and straight. I actually did not see the boat until I looked very carefully. Have you considered a vertical crop? You still get the amazing sky, sun and boat. Those being your subject, I don't think you need the far left and far right of the image. |

Thank you Tom. The gold splashes are native to the flower and I agree, add considerably to the image.

The image I submitted is shown as taken, with the dahlia facing left. I do like Judy's version also, although not necessarily better. I think Judy's version makes me think of a water lily rather than the dahlia that it is.

Jessica, I like this much better than the previous image. This shows them in their environment and the lighting is much better. The top one is a little bright, you might try to tone it down. I might suggest cropping off the right ... about half the distance to the nearest fish tail. I'm glad you went back and tried it again. |

Leonid, you and Judy are getting quite good at compositing. This view of the staircase is quite dramatic. I would experiment with different skies. The large white cloud area appears as a distraction for me although I like the over all concept.

I would not have known this was a composite. I do agree with Robert, that the one thing that is missing is the reflections of the fireworks in the water. It's all in the details, isn't it?! You are getting quite good at compositing.

I like this very much. Normally I would have suggested removing the white debris, but with your title and with your vision, they fit perfectly. I think you did well with the composition and colors. I do wish the large leaf was a little sharper. If you have a program such as Topaz AI or similar, you could put a mask on the leaf and increase the sharpness a little.

Thank you Robert. I was trying to include some background to tell the story of being in the garden, enjoying the flowers rather than just a photo of a flower.
