Bill, Great stop action shot. Love the expression on the kids' face. Because he seems to be continuing to move a little to the left, I would reduce your left hand crop by about 1/3 to give him space to "move". Looks like fun!

Now that you have gone to all that work, I think I do prefer the original. (sorry!) Or.. perhaps somewhere in between. While I like the blurr in the revised version, the background light is flat. So with apologies, stick with the first and maybe just desaturate it very very very slightly.

This crop works much better. Now it all seems to "fit".

I could go either way, but in the version I suggested, the mast tilting right makes a triangular point with the bow of the boat, forming an arrow pointing right. I just like it better. As Leonid has presented, it works either way. |

Reading Judy's suggestion, I agree that if you cropped from the right, far enough to eliminate the righthand flower, it would help. Make it more of a square or vertical crop than horizontal. Then, I find the trees and tulips seem to fit together better. |

Thanks for sharing the original. You did a good job disguising it, but I'm afraid I still find it takes away from the bird. As I suggested before, can you replace the background? |

I love exploring nature this way. I think this would be a good base for some creative processing. Would love to see what you come up with. |

Judy, I would encourage you to try it. I have seen it done with backgrounds added which I will be trying.

Lovely image. I like the placement of the boat in the image but (and I rarely do this) I would recommend flipping it horizontally so the boat is heading left-to-right. I did lighten the sails and boat little to help them stand out from the background. Also, I enhanced the saturation of the water a little. I did not want to over do the saturation, just bring a little of the beautiful color back into the image. |

It is a good photo for 30 seconds. I like the perspective very much. Similar to Judy's image, I find that the background tree interferes with my enjoyment of the tulips. So, in this case, a top-down view of the tulips might have been a better option.

The bird is amazingly sharp. I agree that the background is competing with the bird visually. I would add more blur and desaturate the background. Or add a completely different background???

Good subject. Tells a story of the empty beaches. I straightened your horizon and did a slight crop. Not sure If I prefer my crop your yours? |

I probably should not refer to this one as a city, more just a collection of shiny objects. You do have to use your imagination. Also remember that buildings come in different shapes. Anyway, just something to play with. |

Thank you Beverly. As I mentioned, I got the idea from other posts I have see on the internet. Since this image, I have been playing with the idea even more. I like your idea of the tiny silver car. |
