I like the peaceful feel of this and yes it fits with our current environment. I do prefer the right hand crop. Another suggestion might be to use a radial filter or similar to brighten the walker and part of the path. As it is, I think the lighting is a little flat. |

Jessica, I think you have a lot to work with here. The back lighting is what makes this so magical in my opinion. I do like Judy's crop as well. It would be interesting to see what else you can do with this.

Wonderful position of the birds, having a chat. Red is always difficult,I think, and it seems the red feathers on their chests is a little blown out, but not a big issue. Great job adding canvas to the top. I'd like to see a little added to the right as that bird seems crowded to the edge while the other bird has a lot of space. One other suggestion (again, not critical) would be to darken the branches slightly so that the stand out more against the white background. Looks like a great place to photograph. |

Tom, Thank you for including your camera settings. I think they are especially helpful for an action shot. for me, your lighting on the bird and the blurred background are fine. I like the fact that the background is more than just a blue sky, the trees give us a nice environmental feel to the image. While recognizing how difficult this type of image is, I would still like to see the head and eyes sharper. Bumping up the shutter speed might have helped with this. Finally, the position of the bird in the image is well done. We have members of our local camera club that prefer action shots going from left to right. You might try flipping this to see if you like that better. Just an idea. |

What a beautiful scene! How fortunate to have seen this in person. A couple of suggestions. First, I would remove about half the shrubbery on the bottom. Second, the mountains appear a little over sharpened. Still, a beautiful photo. |

Thank you for sharing this beautiful flower. I would say you did very well with your set up. My only thought is I wish there was more of the flower on the left as that is the way the pistils and stamens are leaning. Good, bright color. |
