30 Nov 19 Comment I don't know what this plant is either, but it certainly makes an interesting subject. Yes, I do like the black background. They don't always need to be black, but I think especially in this case with the "foreign" look of this plant, it works especially well.I'm guessing to the texture of the leaves combined with the focus stacking, makes it looked a little over sharpened. But, over all I do like this image. Nov 14th
30 Nov 19 Comment I Cropped this slightly, took it into photo shop and removed the black stem that is behind and around the flower as for me it drew my eye away from the beautiful flower. I agree the bee is too out of focus, but just to see if I could, again in photo shop, I moved it and using transform, flipped it horizontally so it is now moving towards the flower. I also brightened the bee so it could be seen better. You used f4.8 which I think worked well to separate the flower from the background. Nov 14th
30 Nov 19 Comment Very nice image. I like the relaxed expression on his face. Since you were talking to him, I wish you had been able to have him move away from the window sill in front of him. I find it distracting and would prefer to have the rest of his face. Although I like your composition, I tried another by cropping in from the left, darkening and smoothing the background. Nov 14th

30 Nov 19 Comment I agree with the others, I think this needs cropping. I think you can still keep the proportions, but crop it bottom, left and top. Beautiful scene and I think I see 4 people silhouetted in the distance which I like. Nov 13th
30 Nov 19 Comment What an amazing subject! Unfortunately for me the bridge is too small in the image to really enjoy it. I do love the clouds and the light on the bridge.
