Jessica, I'm still working with this image, so will see if it is possible to pull out some of the blues as I see what you mean. Not sure I can do it. |

Similar to what Bob Benson from Group 26 has offered, her is a bw version. |

Hello Bob,
Yes, I do like what you have done. I've had other suggestions to turn this to bw. I guess I will be playing with this image for a while longer as it appears to have a variety of options. I looked at yours, too. Quite amazing!

I enjoyed the challenge of working with your image. I do think I like it in bw. I also tried it in Topaz Studio, using one of the presets and cropping. Here's my take on it. |

I have been to the Arches Natl. Park but not to the Arch as the trail was too difficult for us. Glad you were able to see it. I like Robert's version as it seems more natural to me without being overly saturated. I wonder if you could select the sky separately and increase the contrast per Robert's version, just a little. |

Thank you for your suggestions. We just got home from a trip to S.Dakota, but as soon as we are settled I will try to make the suggested adjustments. |

This image really caught my attention. I agree with Robert's suggestions, and also wonder if you cropped about 1/8 off the top to eliminate the bright sky area, and just leave the dark clouds. Just a suggestion. |

Great job, Judy. I think there are a couple of different crops you could do with this image, depending on what story you wish to tell. As for Topaz AI, I have been using it and like the results very much. One thing about it is that to get best results you should use AI before you do anything else. So use AI, then crop and make other adjustments. |

What a lovely family photo! Her expression says everything. I think it is fine as it is. If you want to try a different crop, I would just crop enough off the right to eliminate Winnie the Pooh (at her shoulder), and then about a comparable or slightly less amount off the left. I feel like Judy's crop leaves it too unbalanced. Besides, it is a Christmas photo and I think I would want to include some of the tree to tell us that story about how happy she was at Christmas.

Robert, this is a lovely image of the two mushrooms. To answer your question first, 2 subjects work here because they are overlapping and give us a sense of 1. If the two were separated then our eyes would sort of bounce back and forth between the two, and it would be distracting to the eye.
I like the soft lighting on the mushrooms. I feel as though your background blur is just about right. Soft enough not to compete with the subject, but detailed enough to give us a real sense of place. Very nice. I like it. |
