There were supposed to be a lot of mule deer around Salt Lake too, but I saw a lot more pronghorn than deer. |

Beautiful image. I like your version, but do think Judy's crop works beautifully as well. |

I agree that it is a little too dark. Amazing clouds. |

I like this image. The angle of your shot makes this work well, creating a leading line into the main feature of your image. The sky color and clouds are interesting but I still think you I would like it better if part of the sky was cropped out. This would also remove some of the utility wires that add nothing to the composition in my mind. Also, I would crop out or clone out the yellow sign on the right. Same thing with the red triangle of light on the left and the green sign also on the left. |

I agree with Robert and Jon that increased saturation makes this image pop. Great job with the diagonal. I like the small break in the pattern with the tree and sky in the lower left hand corner. Thanks for including the picture of you there. |

I see the blurring also. The left hand piling is the sharpest to me. Is the blurring from the water running down the side of the posts? Aside from that, I would crop half the distance to the closest piling, from the bottom. I do get a sense of what you saw with the late afternoon colors. |

As a photographer with camera in hand, this is the sort of thing that would attract me, as well. I think it has potential. It's funny, when I looked at it on my phone, I thought the center was a piece of metal lying on top of the rust. Now, I see it is in fact a hole and we are looking through it. If I had my own computer available I would play with contrast, crop and probably some special effects. I would definitely encourage you to do that. I'd love to see the results. |

Robert,
Our guide made certain that we were the required distance from the horses, but on occasion they do surprise you and move closer than you had planned. As for the "glisten", I can't tell you exactly, but for the most part I made exposure adjustments in LR. Then I used the Adjustments box in Topaz Studio until I had what I thought worked best. Wish I could be more specific. Just being there was a great experience although we came back covered in dust! Took great precautions to keep our gear clean. You may see a couple more photos in the coming months.

Pam, I would like to echo what the others have said. Beautifully composed, good leading lines, great colors. Well done!
