30 Aug 18 Reply That doesn't mean it doesn't need improving as you suggested. I'm just excited that it did so well!

30 Aug 18 Reply Thank you Jon. I agree with you and others it could use a bit more sharpening but am happy to say that I just received notification that this image has been awarded a medal (not sure what) from a PSA sponsored photo salon. :-) Aug 10th
30 Aug 18 Comment I agree with Robert. There are many interesting elements here, the dragon, the circles you mentioned, the reflections. In this image, however, they are all competing with one another. Did you have the opportunity to take any close up photos, eg. of the green circles?

30 Aug 18 Comment Robert, I like this crop much better. We have a lot of bird photographers in our local club and I know how difficult it is to photograph them. You did very well with this one. The colored beak and feet, the fish in the mouth make this even more eye-catching.

30 Aug 18 Comment Judy, I always enjoy the way you experiment with different techniques. I do agree with the others about needing more space around the flowers. Also, it needs to be sharper. I find the white background a little bland. Did you try any tints or textures with it? Aug 3rd
30 Aug 18 Comment This has so many great elements: the clouds, the tree, the water running out of the ocean! (Just a tease, Jon. If you read my comments to Tom's you will see I continually have that issue in my own work). I love the lighting on the clouds, the classic tropical sunset. I am undecided if I like the tree being centered or not in this particular instance, but I do like your division of 1/3 water/land and 2/3 sky. Aug 3rd
30 Aug 18 Comment I find this to be an interesting composition that demonstrates your skill as a photographer. As others have mentioned, you do need to straighten the horizon. Funny that we have two images with this issue this month. It's one of the first things I look at because it is usually one of the first things I have to correct in my own! I enjoy the light on the tree branches and the wall. I just wish there was a little more drama in the squall itself. Aug 3rd
