30 Feb 18 Comment Judy I enjoy the color tones and the textures in this image. I would like to see latch/ hasp sharper. Also, I would find it more interesting if you cropped it closer to the latch. For me it makes it more interesting. Feb 13th
30 Feb 18 Reply I like what you did, but it is a little crowded now.

30 Feb 18 Reply Yes. This version works better for me. Feb 10th
30 Feb 18 Reply Not a problem? Feb 10th
30 Feb 18 Reply Leonid, I think you may have misunderstood the intent of my suggested crop. One of the things that I like to do is to explore what "other" image/s are within my image, by changing the crop. My comment was by no means intended to indicate mine was the only or the best option for your image.

30 Feb 18 Comment Because we (westerners) read left to right, it is often suggested that our images are more engaging if they read left to right. Not a hard and fast rule but in an image like this where there are no words or any landmark, it is with looking at. I use transform horizontal in LR. You may or may not like it. Feb 8th
30 Feb 18 Comment You both stole my line! This guy definitely needs a bath. I think this is an excellent record shot. The other buffalo in the background is well placed in the composition. Your subject's head position is good and it looks like he is either chatting with you or having a good chuckle. (Assuming these guys can chuckle!) I think you have another picture here as well. See my crop. Feb 8th
30 Feb 18 Comment Your patience paid off with this image. I like the texture of the reflections on the water, but I think the scaup is getting a little lost in the image. I would try cropping about 1/2- 1/3 of the space in front of the bird and 1/2 the space at the top. Also, have your tried flipping this so the bird faces the opposite direction? Just a suggestion for left-to-right read. Feb 8th
30 Feb 18 Comment Ok, two votes for the slightly blurred focus, and now two votes for a little more sharpness, as I agree with Leonid. Colors are beautiful. I'd like to see the white/light edges darkened, especially the upper left.

30 Feb 18 Comment I do think your revision improves the image. Parts of the image seem a little over sharpened to me?

30 Feb 18 Reply Thank you Jon. I'm going to continue to work on this.
