30 Jan 18 Comment This is a particularly nice image of fireworks display. Your timing was excellent and in this case I like that there are no other fireworks in the background. I agree, good choice with the thin pink frame. You might consider removing the two white hot spots near the center, but I think that is optional. Photographing fireworks is a lot of fun, but you definitely need to have a plan for how you are going about it, as you apparently did.

30 Jan 18 Comment This is a striking image. The lighting on the three subject orchids is perfect. I like the two darkened corners. One super minor suggestion, I would darken or remove the yellow speck of stem between the two top flowers. Jan 9th
30 Jan 18 Reply That's entirely possible, Jon. It was a quick shot, hand held.

30 Jan 18 Comment I agree with Robert's comments above. I think I would consider if possible, reducing the brightness in the cliffs to help separate them from the buildings. In this case I kind of like the bright glaring sun on the building walls so I would leave them as is. I, too would crop but not as severely as Robert. Beautiful image and location!

30 Jan 18 Comment Glad you had your camera with you at the mall... good plan on your part! This is an interesting image and I feel like the red balloon(?) is the subject. Yet, there is so much going on, it makes it a little confusing to my eye. I think it would benefit if you would clone out some of the specular hilights on the red Y, and possibly clone out the remaining object on the right so we are just enjoying the red balloon. Jan 2nd
30 Jan 18 Comment I think this was a good choice for bw. I like the details in this image, the nail to the left, the bit of chain we can see in the slit and the texture of the wood. It feels just a little overly "gritty" for me, but I think that's a matter of opinion. Jan 2nd
30 Jan 18 Comment I love the perspective view of this image. A unique point of view and good subject for your wide angle lens. Even though you used HDR, I agree it is a little bright over all. I'd like something between your version and Robert's version. I like that you got the sun star as well. Jan 2nd
