Judith, I believe what Ian is asking is that you take the time to comment on the images for other members of your group. It may be too late to do that now for this month, but it is an important part of the Study Group process. The hope is that the maker learns from the comments and the commenter learns from analyzing other images as well. Throughout it all, we need to keep an open mind as we all see things a bit differently. |

I like Robert's version. In any version, it is very appealing.

In my crop I was trying to give a hint of the larger boat, but now that I see Judy's crop I think hers works much better. Thanks Judy. |

This month, it all seems to be about composition for me. I do like this composition, the way the curve of the road meets the curve of the rainbow. I have never been to Africa and am aware that the light and hence colors are probably significantly different than in my home in the PNW. Still, the colors in this image appear unnatural to me. Is it possible they have been over saturated in post processing? |

This image is very pleasing to the eye.The simplicity of the foreground allows us to enjoy the cloud shapes. I particularly like that the colors are bright but not overpowering. The small mountain peak on the left helps to balance the image as well. |

It is interesting that you turned this into a bw image, but I do like it that way. I agree with Robert that because the flower is "facing" the right, there is too much negative space on the left. I would allow a little more space than Robert's version, but otherwise I do like his suggestion as well. |

Very nice composition. The framing with the fishing poles makes the image. I agree the sky is noisy and needs some work. I looked at this image several time. Each time, my first impression was that it is slanted slightly to the left. Then upon further examination, it appears to be straight. I'm wondering if it is an optical illusion because of the poles all leaning to the left or if it has a slight distortion? |

Beautiful, artistic image. I like the way the openings in the lily pad leaves point towards the center of the image. I also enjoy the simplicity of the over all design. |

Dale, you really caught the action on this one. I like the visual balance of the yellow frisbee in the dog's mouth vs the one's in the woman's hands. The rules are different for photojournalism shots such as this, but I wish the woman wasn't directly behind the dog. Still, the position of the dog and the sharpness of the image is amazing. |

Thanks Robert. I agree with the increase in contrast. People don't always get my humor, so glad you saw it.
