Cute little dog. The face looks sharp, nice catch light in his eyes, just the right detail in his snout. I do like the way you experiment with your post processing. Still, this needs more work around the edges. Pretty tough to do with the fluffy fur,but maybe you could work on it some more?

Interesting When I tried it in bw I didn't like it. I like your version. I'll try it again. Thanks Judy. |

Robert, This looks like a beautiful place to visit. The soft water flow of the waterfall is very popular and I do like it. But I think how you shoot the falls (speed) depends on the mood you are trying to reveal in the image. I think you did well to draw out the details in the shadows as well. I have a couple of suggestions. First, although the rocks in the shallows are pleasant, I feel the image is close to half shallows, half falls. I'd consider cropping from the bottom My second thought is that for some reason, in this image, the falls reflection in the water does not look quite right to me. I would consider cloning it out. I'm including two examples. |

Glad you found that helpful. Sometimes we just need fresh eyes!

We have members in our local camera club that would be disturbed by the lighter patch of sky, but I find it to be a very minor issue. This is a beautiful image and I find the colors and composition to be very pleasing. I especially like the colors as reflected in the pools of water and agree that the texture of the actual falling water is well done. The one suggestion I might offer is to tone down or clone out the little bit of white building on the left side. |

Robert, I think you did well with this image. I find the composition to be very pleasing to the eye, the image does tell a story. You have the beautiful colors outside, the silhouette, and even a soft reflection in the floor. The only suggestion I have would be to clone out the building in the background, right. I would fill it in with more bushes. |

We have red tailed hawks that circle above us and they never fail to fascinate me. But, we've never had one land that close. Given that this was hand held, I think you did an amazing job. Still, I wish the eye and head were sharper. Maybe you can coax him back?!

I think you made a good choice going to bw. I also like the border style that you used, I think it works well with the subject. The image seems a a little bright to me. I wonder how it would look if you had taken a few steps to the left so that the parking meter was not merging with the bikes?

I did try to increase the blue of the sky a little, but was unsuccessful. It's possible a better sky could be made using layers, but unfortunately I have not mastered that as yet. It's interesting what different people see. You see a mouth with teeth, I see people in the eye, viewing whatever might be beyond.
