40 Nov 19 Comment Really lovely image. The matching hue of the red in the sky, on the water, and on the boats is the magic of it. But I do agree with Moira, the unifying red is emphasized a little too much, and playing with sliders a little to emphasize the boats could pay off. You could also treat the setting sun as the story and play with sliders to emphasize that. You choose. Nov 19th
40 Nov 19 Comment A very powerful image. It's fantastic to me that you were able to get the rain so clearly!
I agree with everyone above, this picture is meant to be color. I do wish it wasn't cropped quite so tight-would like to see more of his helmet as well as more of his legs.
Some playing with sliders to deepen the blacks might help.
You captured a great storytelling moment with this one!

40 Nov 19 Comment This is a lovely image that rewards contemplative study. It's main strength are the textures. I absolutely agree with the comments above that some playing with vibrance and contrast will help distinguish foreground from background. To me, the formality of the banister in contrast to the plainness and the mysteriousness of the door are what make it work. 40 Nov 19 Reply I'm not saying crop out all the window but some. After you played with the sliders the lower window panels, below the view, lit up, and they are brighter than the rest of the scene, so they draw the eye.
The ideal crop would keep the main window frame, so it would still be clear you are shooting through a window.

40 Nov 19 Comment I love the bokeh and the way the yellow in the background echoes the yellow at the heart of the foregrounded flowers. The bokeh also makes the foregrounded flowers seem crisper and the texture more tactile.
Great picture, gives a peaceful feeling.

40 Nov 19 Comment Really lovely image! For me it evokes some of the early cinematography done from Eiffel tower around when it was first opened.
I agree with Andrew what cropping some of the window frame would be an improvement.

40 Nov 19 Comment Wow, the description of the process you went through to get this is incredible! I would like to know more about how you combined the shots.
I would keep the buildings as they give the fireworks a sense of scale. I agree the darker one stands out and could be lightened a little.

Lovely photograph!
