It was just barely going. I like what Ed made to the boy, but would have tried to keep more of the color in the background as I love the stained glass there.

Great photo. How anyone can run with a mask is beyond me. I do like Beverly's crop, which gives the runner a bit more room to run out of the frame and makes her not quite center (my own preference),but otherwise have no suggestions. No one dictates that you have to follow the rules. :-) |

Beverly, this is a wonderful image and cropping it is the only thing I would recommend. Turkey is a place that I would someday like to visit if the political situation ever improves and Covid goes away. Great job. |

Ed, It does make a big difference. Every time I look at this image I have to smile. Thanks for your suggestions. |

I was going to say that I liked the color version as it seemed to frame the couple better but your revisions of the black and white do it so much better that I have changed my opinion. It now really focuses on the couple and their interaction. I like the revision a lot. |

The contrast of all the women's faces and their positions are a good story. I wish there was something to indicate what they were so engrossed in though. Also my eye goes immediately to the women's hands as though they were the focus. Their hands are the sharpest part of the image and I would have rather had their faces more the focus to emphasize that they were looking as something of great import. |

I love the story-the men engrossed in the sports on tv and the girl ignoring it by looking at something on her phone. Both have headphones on the table. But a nit, can't figure out what the object in front of the table but before the window is. Just curious, but otherwise great photo. |

I tend to like the black and white as I think it conveys the mood of the photo better, and therefore adds to the story. The street leads you right into the photo, and I identify with the man nearest the viewer as walking in the rain and getting really wet. There is a mild distortion but it doesn't bother me. I do hope you have had or have another chance to return there when the weather is nice as it is a wonderful city to walk around. |

As I said to Beverly, I have no idea why or how this image was blocked. I wish I did as I would love to have the option as do you. |

Beverly, Thanks for your comments. I will try blurring the background more, as I really did nothing to this photo except what I listed. I think the mark on the boy's face was a slab of face paint as there was a festival going on to celebrate the opening of the carousel. (RI normally has a lot of festivals in the summer and fall). I do not know why or how the image was blocked as I didn't do anything different than I have always done. |
