Thanks Victor for your suggestions and I will try it. I just happen to love the feel of this image, but the judges in competition did not so I wanted constructive suggestions and you supplied them. |

Again a great story for our times. I love the expressions on all their faces and the black and white rendition. It would have been nice if you could have walked a bit more to the left and not had the girl's forehead merge with the backpack, but there again, if you had waited even a few seconds to take the shot, would everyone else radiated that same intensity? I think a judge in competition would probably nitpick that point, but I like it as it is. |

I love Renaissance Fairs as they are populated with so many interesting characters. I love the sharpness and clarity of the original, and think if you had taken out the guitar and the fiddle player's knee and bow and cropped a bit off the top you would have had a great image. I like the coffee cup as an accent too. I like textures with flowers but not so much with people. Just my opinion. |

I agree that the scene overwhelms the subjects, so would crop so that they are more prominent. The story is very strong tho even with the one woman with her back towards the camera. I also realize that with street photography one is not always able to get into the position that is best and if you had gone to the front of the women, they would have seen you and changed their positions. Sometimes it is what it is.

Good story for the times. I like the perspective behind the speaker as well, and the different ways people are observing the speaker. Black and white works also. But is it any wonder that the virus is spreading? People seem to think that if they wear a mask even if is worn on the chin, they are curbing the spread. Sorry for the soapbox but this is a pet peeve of mine. |

Love the colors and the busyness of the canal. It is definitely a feel good photo. The only suggestions I would have would be to try to straighten the horizon that looks tilted to me, altho it is probably just the perspective of the buildings getting farther away. And I like the crop that Steven did eliminating the foreground tourists as it makes the story more about the gondola. The partial boat does not bother me, in fact makes a line to the subject. Good shot. |
