Bill, That is quite possibly the case. I kind of like the distortion myself but that is purely personal. To me the windows look kind of surreal. |

It is very difficult to get colored lights and you have done the right thing by doing it at blue hour, but the merging boats are distracting and it would have been a better shot if you had been able to wait until it was between or ahead of them. And I can't put my finger on why but the color seems a little off to me. Might be just my eyes. |

Great capture. He has such an interesting face, very warm, which one probably wouldn't expect of someone who has a skull tattooed on his upper arm. Some people are just a story unto themselves. It would be interesting to sit and talk to him for a while I think. Like the black and white best but both are good.
I too have a Canon 7D Mark 2 but have purchased a Sony mirrorless for the same reason. The Canon weighs on my neck after walking a while. |

Photographing crowds is always fun. But I agree with Carol that relocating to the back would probably been a stronger shot. Being in one of the crowds looking for a resplendent quetzal myself at one time a few years ago, I understand how we must look to others. And it amazes me when I stop to look at a bird how many passing people stop to ask me what I am looking for. |

Great photo!! I had to look twice to see whether the pirate was a real person or not. Love the buskers, can almost hear their music. I like the black and white much better.

I love this photo. The blues in the umbrella and the windows of the building and on the stones of the courtyard really tie it all together. Beautiful capture. |

Unfortunately Beverly the window was over a river and I was on the bridge crossing the river so there was no other option but to take it the way it is. |
