Richard, I agree that the child looking back leads the eye to the woman holding the child, making her obviously the main subject. Lots of interesting stories in this picture. And black and white really emphasizes all of them. Great shot. |

Beverly, What a shame this structure was left in such disrepair! This photo really does evoke sadness that no one seems to care that the walls have crumbled. I like the cropped version better because the white pillar draws my eye away from the object of the photo. |

Colin, I love this image. The soft colors are gorgeous and the
clouds and the railings and the nail holes on the dock lead you right into the image and to the subjects. I too agree about the wires. They frame the subjects perfectly. Great job! |

Bill, I like the colors and the expression on the woman's face. Makes you wonder what the conversation is about with the second woman/girl? hanging her head. I would have liked to see a bit more of the second woman's face-perhaps if you had stepped a couple more steps to the right. And I thing a little blurring of the background would have focused more attention on the two main characters in the story. |
