Great image, love the interaction between the two birds. The colour and sharpness in the image is good, the dark background makes the birds really pop |

Janice this image is so elegant. Beautiful portrayal of the swan. I like you original but seeing the single swan cropped out has made this a special image. |

This is one very proud rooster. You have done a great job capturing his colourful tail feathers. Im wondering if you had shot from a lower angle the rooster would have looked more dramatic and the angle would have eliminated the leaves behind him. You and I need to do a photoshop course to learn how to remove unwanted items from our images.... |

Hi Walter. Nice capture of the bird in flight, I like Janice's suggestion of the vertical crop and including the shadow which I feel adds drama and scope to the image. |

Hi Janice. Thank you for your great feedback. I totally agree on the different POV needed for this image. I was intrigued by the top of the posts and neglected to consider the whole picture, hopefully this comes to me with practice... |

Hi Larry, thank you so much for your comments on my image. I took a peek at your work and feel humbled that you have taken the time to view my image.
I think you are so right about shooting from a lower POV, I got caught up in all the texture and detail in the top of the posts (which I did not totally capture) and neglected to shoot from lower down or using a shallower depth of field to climate the tree line in the distance.
My thoughts at this site were to capture the vast starkness of the land and why this small fenced area existed. As the country is very stoney it would have presented some effort to erect the fence. The posts exhibit heaps of lines, texture and character and added a softness to the hard rocky landscape. The 'why' of it all intrigued me. Unfortunately the site is around 15 hours drive from where I live so will probably not get the chance to get back there. Thanx again for your comments. Cheers Kerry |

Hi Walter, great feedback as always. This is not one of my favorite images but it keeps me asking 'why' as you to have recognised. I can not believe I did to shoot the image from a lower position (which I regularly do) |
