Thank you all for your valuable feedback and kind words. Walter, I have burnt the trough rim as per your suggestion and think it looks better. Pauline, it is above my ability to blur the rail above his head but have signed up to undertake a photoshop course in 3 weeks time.... Will give it a try later on

Janice, abstract is not usually to my taste but I find your image intriguing and would love to actually see a blast off of the geese. I like the colour pallet but I would like to be able to identify at least some of the geese. As I said not really my thing but I have been intrigued enough to have looked at this image a number of times? |

My eye is struggling to find a focal place. The colours are beautiful and your image has a nice sharpness in the foreground. I think Walters crop improved the image as to me the flowers and the trees didn't seem to blend. |

Good sharp image Pauline capturing great detail in the eye, feathers and the water droplets. I agreed with Walter in suggesting a lower point of view and allowing more room in front when you next shoot. This would make the goose look even more proud strutting his stuff |

Walter you have captured the character of this little guy beautifully. Your focus is very sharp, the colours are good. I like your second crop rather than the first and I would leave the stick in the image as like you stated it is his environment and makes the image more real. Feel if you were able to remove the white band on the right which is a bit distracting the image would be even better. |
