Jacob you have captured it well, colours are great and well in focus well done. I am interested in the fact that you have used your I phone. My wife has just taken up photography using her I phone and as been winning awards and has just been asked to put one in an exhibition, every one thinks she used my camera. I started her off with lightroom but she has been doing courses, these courses have taken here to Snapseed, Touch Retouch and Superimpose, they are aps. Most are free or cost a couple of dollars. I have looked at them and in my books are way superior to the programs that I have been using and the results she has been getting are outstanding. If you are interested in the course she enrolled in I will let you know, but I am not in the practice of advertising, you may already be in such courses anyway. I went to a conference for our Australian Photographic Society, and one of the presenters who had a Phd in Photograph gave a presentation on i phones and claimed that in a few years time we will all be using them for photography, not sure but years ago I never thought that I would through away my celluloid film for digital. |

Good choice Dean selecting Black and White. reflections of the clouds makes the shot, would have liked to see the crocks. I am not quite sure if the horizon is straight, would rotating a little anticlockwise help? |

Thanks for the comment Dean, not quite sure what you mean by enlarging the crop? |

Thanks Pierre, I think that you are right, about the original being different. I took so many pics trying to get the focus correct I may have got the files mixed up. I will try focus stacking next time, my Nikon D850 should do it. |

Well captured Brenda, its not easy capturing bird shots especially when they are action shots. The reflection adds to the pic. I do agree that it is great if the eye can be seen but you have captured a great feeling and processed it well, getting the bird to stand out while reducing the background. |

Candy again you have impressed me, you have done well with the composition made the most of the sand. I am using an older version of photoshop, is that what you used to texture the sky and was it done in Photoshop? I do like it. |

Pierre nice sharp shot, always great to see the background out of focus, brings out the subject. I agree with Brenda, a light vignette could help. |

Hi Mervyn, I can see what captured your eye and you have done it well. I wonder what the shot would have been like if you cropped the sides and lowered the camera rather than taking it at waist height. Only my thoughts. |

Thats really kind of you Brenda, thanks for the suggestion of the higher ISO, that would have let me select a higher f stop such as f22. I was just playing around with this shot as I was locked into my house for the virus for three days, only one case and our state went gar gar. |

hanks for the comment Isaac, I was interested in the reaction to this pic as I was experimenting with something so small. I would have liked to focus stacked but there is no way I could use a tripod and I did not want to use a higher ISO for fear of grain. The light was low, I guess f22 would have helped. Thanks again, Geoff. |
