Good shot Jacob, My wife has the new I phone and I am amazed at the sharpness you can get with it. Your pic is sharp but I would agree with Mervyn and would tone down the flower in the front. |

Thanks Brenda for the comment, great ideas. I have enclosed the original but for memory I did not change much. I did not rate this as a great picture, I was just trying to show you folks a little of my country, the colours in the outback are just unreal. Just for the record our company, Oplex Australia P/L started in this part of the world but is now an investment company. |

Thanks Pierre, yes we don't get many clouds in the desert and we get a great view of the stars in the night sky. |

Wow, what a pic Brenda, you and Mervyn are wetting my apatite for Africa. Luck you for watching a lion pride. In my books the way in which you have captured the little fellow, in a tree and staring at you is just great. If I read the PSA rules for nature the value of the animal doing something over rides the technical correctness of the shot. That is not to say the technique should be ignored. I think that your post processing has done well to get the best out of the shot. The others in the group may have got better ideas how to work on the shot but I am impressed. I would be happy to take him home. |

Great cropping and post editing Candy. You have turned an average pic into something very pleasing to the eye. I like the fact that the parent is carrying an apple snail. Its always good if the bird is doing something. |

Well done Pierre. You have alerted me to a feature I did not know about (focus stacking). Just when i thought I had things under control. Apart from that I do like the shot and the way in which you have handled it.Half your luck to be observing bald eagles. Did you do anything to compensate for the ISO 1250, because I don't see the grain that I thought I would with such a high ISO? |

What can I say, A magnificent shot, beautifully handled. The B&W is a great choice. If I could think of any way of improving it I would but I can't. Makes me want to go to Africa. |
