Pierre, thanks for the comment and your revised effort on the stars is much appreciated. They look much better. We do love the outback, but it is a challenge trying to show it a little differently to the way the millions of pictures others have taken. |

I agree Dean I think I have over done the purple a little. To take stars in the Southern Hemisphere we need to look to the south. Thats what I did. Mervyn to get the colour red on the rock people wait until the sun is about to set. It also depends on the kind of sunset. They do refer to this area of Aust as the RED CENTRE. Louise and I took a vile of sand from this region and when we got back home compared it with some paprika in our pantry. They were the same colour. I have enclosed a couple of commercial pics of the rock. |

Again a great shot Donna. I would have liked to see a little more in front of the bird and I would have removed the trunk of the tree behind the bird, but these are only personal preferences. |

I like it Candy. I possible would have cropped it a little tighter but that is only a personal preference. |

I think Candy has said it all. Myself I would have tried to look straight at the bird rather than up at it but I know that that is next to impossible to achieve. |

Great shot Dean. Like the colors in the clouds. I possibly would have lightened the foreground a little, but that is more of a personal choice. |

I do agree with Dean. Great pic Mervyn but just a little detail in the bird, but I guess that would destroy the effect that you are aiming at. |
