I agree with Candy's crop but like the setting and all of the detail. Always nice to have the bird doing something and the berry in the mouth just makes it. |

Thanks Brenda Pierre, getting out of the cold Brenda, we avoid it by going into the outback in our caravan. Although heat is what we have had of late, up to 47 degrees c, hottest on record. |

Candy I am amazed at how you folk seem to have a wealth of creatures at your door steep to photograph, I seem to have to travel hundreds of Kms to get my shots. Love the simple background makes the monarch stand out and show all of its features very well. Great idea inverting it, as I would expect nice and sharp and nicely posed. As with some of the others in the group I wish that I could make some constructive comments but I can't. |

Lucky you Mervyn having such creatures at you door steep. As far as nature is concerned it is great to see the raccoon eating. Nice sharp shot nicely framed, lighting has helped make it. |

Brenda, what a colorfull ( PS not sure but I think you spell colour or color) shot full of atmosphere. Great Idea back lighting it, gives the flowers depth. Lucky you having such colourful flowers, we are experiencing the biggest drought for years and our garden is suffering even though we have pumped heaps of water on to it. Sorry I cant think of any way of improving your pic. |

Dean great capture of a beach scene, live by the beach so you have captured me, walk the dog with my wife most mornings although not so much over the last week as we are suffering a heat wave. 44 degrees. The reflections in the water add to the impact of the pic. I might have taken the pic at a slightly reduced exposure so as to decrease the glare of the sun. and lifted the beach scene in post production. I possibly would have cloned out the lens glare. I don't know if you are aware of it but you have four dust spots on you sensor, I have marked them on the pic I have added. |

Donna, what can I say. What a picture. The frog is positioned just perfectly in my view. The leaf and subtle colours complement the picture. I know I am supposed to say something constructive but I can't, I simply love the picture |
