This was another good idea, Deborah.
If you have PS 2024 the newest selections are made easier, and if you didn't save them to their own layers, I might consider doing that.
I'd rather have seen the chair than the bag/rug from the original 1.
Original 2 need to have the blown-out leg cloned, flipped and moved into place from the good side.
Original 3 needs the blow-outs fixed as best you can.
Kind of resembles most of my work and skillset.
Keep trying creative shots and work on exposures. You have an artistic mind.

I love the concept, Angela. Your processing is exceptional and while the blending colors are good, they don't pop for me. Your speed illusion is better than you give yourself credit for. I worked in LR to create a more vibrant image, just for consideration. I masked each section of the image to get them at the same texture level. I then changed the color palette to mostly blue. Keep up the good work. |

Nailed it all! Color, depth, subject, supporting element and whimsical feeling. Great work, Sam. |

Thank you, Sam. Time has not been as kind to me as I had hoped. I also led the adventurous life I chose and would choose again. I wish you a happy life and continue your good work. |

Thanks, Bob. I won't renew my memberships in PSA, so this is my last month. |

Thanks, Gloria. I'll miss PSA and DD a lot. When we move into an independent living facility soon, I'll have more time than I know what to do with. I'll hate giving up my 24" printer too. I'm a better printer than a photographer. |

Hi Viren.
The leading lines lead the eye to the monument. The monument needs to be more prominent.
It isn't clear to me that the light is the sun, or that the right side is Azerbaijan's Martyrs' Lane. I would consider this more of a documentary image, than a competitive image.
The eye is drawn to the light, blocked on both sides by dark areas. and the subject area is tonally flat (all midtones.) I couldn't figure a way to really make an area pop.
If you get to go back again, I would consider selecting the best site for shooting these subjects separately. I am emotionally attached to the US Vietnam Memorial, and it too is hard to find a good image. |

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your help going forward.
I think if you want to consider changes, I might crop from the right and simplify the image to the two areas that caught your eye and wish to compare.
I don't know if the Beast is Mt St Helens, or the cloud that appears as a beast looking down the mountain to me. I see weird things these days. If the clouds caught your attention, the beast there could be D&B'd into more prominence.
My attempt is overly sharpened and most likely too vibrant for your style, but I usually exaggerate to make things stand out. |

Hi Haru,
I was first attracted by the light which seemed symmetrical and shaped like a body. As is your style in your images there is subtlety and some darkness.
I like the contrast and shapes. My eye travels right to left across the frame. It is blocked by the black from much vertical travel except where the light enters in the middle. I would not say that it is busy, but I am unsure I am able to identify the subject beyond shapes and light. I don't think the light from the right top and bottom are worthwhile. They may lead the eye in, but not all the way. I might consider a gradient to soften the colors a little. I added a blue/white and cropped the right side. I do appreciate your skills and wonderful vision. |

Hi Gloria,
Beautiful image, but very noisy. Probably could be shot at 400 to 800 ISO now, but it is worth working on. It sort of looks like this may have been a quite large crop. I added a gaussian blur to the image and took some of the noise out, but it isn't as easy as denoise on a RAW file. Topaz Denoise is a great plugin. I masked the boat to keep the detail and darkened it a bit. I also removed the far boat and birds that looked more like spots, as Haru mentioned. Good work.

Thank you, Haru. As always, I appreciate your insights, and especially your kind personal comments. Please continue your search for artistry in your fine work. Being able to see photographically is a gift. I can seldom see with a camera in my hand but see better with a computer on my desk. It makes me a technician and not an artist. You, my friend, are an artist. Good luck and happy days to you.
