20 Aug 22 Comment Great image Shirley. I always see stuff in images, and the top two bubbles I see humans with the shadows and the bottom looks like a human will grow! Just his eyes will show! Bwa ha ha! Aug 29th
20 Aug 22 Comment Perfection is in the eye of the beholder. This is perfect! Aug 29th
20 Aug 22 Comment Impactful portrait, Sam. I wish I could just let my ear hair grow like your subject, but I have a hard enough time getting my hearing aids out now. Aging is so much fun, and he knows it well enough. Aug 29th
20 Aug 22 Comment Glad you posted this image Ham. I have a bunch of images from BC and Alberta (Athabaska River), and I may have mistaken some from each area. This is a very colorful abstract and it is well done. Aug 29th
20 Aug 22 Comment Someone has been watching too many BBC Mysteries! Well done, I think? Aug 29th
20 Aug 22 Reply Guess I picked a bad filter to use. Aug 21st
20 Aug 22 Reply Thank you, Ham. I had to stretch the color wheel by having red, yellow and green all in the same image. I hoped the primary conversations between red-yellow and the splotch of greens at top right and lower left would balance out. The red and green also give the image a solid base. What do you think? 20 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Shirley. Angela didn't like it either. Maybe I dropped the plexiglass I shot through into the freezer first! Aug 7th
20 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Sam. I should have gotten lower. Muddy mess of a tulip field that day. Aug 5th
20 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Fred. Dali and Picasso? Or did you mean Bert and Ernie?
Aug 5th
20 Aug 22 Reply Thank you, Angela. The white at the bottom of the image is part of the filter. I can probably tone them down. I'll see whether it works for me. Aug 2nd

96 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Cheryl. I have many images of the whole Pagoda, from all sides, except looking into this side, which is too steep for me to climb anymore. I love the comments on my images I'm stuck on, as I can either find an answer, or realize there is no answer. I learn most from my failures! This is the Pagoda image from the website. My image is from the hidden right side. Aug 29th
96 Aug 22 Comment Another beautiful scene, and I think Cheryl's foreground addition, changed most of my thoughts. Something was missing, and Cheryl nailed the missing piece for me. Aug 29th
96 Aug 22 Comment Hi Cheryl,
The strength of your composition is strong in the right half, and I don't think it will appear busy when cropped. The busy is in relationship to the darker left half.

96 Aug 22 Comment Hi Dan,
A great coastal shot. Nice separation between the stacks. I too, think the vignette will hold it back. Otherwise well done, Surfer Joe!

96 Aug 22 Comment Hi Robert,
Wow, quite a transition from volcanic activity to my back yard! An incredibly unique image that makes our mountain appear small. That doesn't happen often. The turquoise(y) water is more reminiscent of Canadian Rockies to me, but I seldom worry about color accuracy. I like the fact that you are using our study group for artistic exploration, as it is meant to be, and not for a finished product, as is often the case.

96 Aug 22 Comment Hi Haru,
I am late getting into this month. Your colors are fine. Sharpness is great as always and the composition is good, but some cropping has improved it in other's comments. I might remove the blue cast from the stream, and let it pop to match the light green. I might also look at dodging especially along a Fibonacci and the Golden Ratio overlay, which could be useful in cropping to your final image.

96 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Bob. Good points as always. Aug 21st
96 Aug 22 Reply You created a beautiful B&W image Haru. Thank you. Aug 11th
96 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Haru. You are correct in that all members would process our images differently. I use our group to learn and hone my skills, no matter how limited they may be. Aug 11th
96 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Dan. This is just one side of the park building. I didn't want a visitor snapshot. I may decide this is a worthwhile place to do a series. Bob A. inspires me but my tremors and fused neck hold my shooting to a minimum. I'm thinking burst mode may be an answer for me. Anybody tried that? Aug 11th
96 Aug 22 Reply Thank you, Steven. Aug 8th
96 Aug 22 Reply Thanks, Gloria. The saturation is the glow. Makes colors pop some. Not for every taste, to be sure. Aug 6th
