I guess on further reflection, we probably owe the Monuments Men of WWII a huge debt of gratitude to saving so many of these architectural beauties and historic buildings throughout Europe. |

As I look at the shark, he appears to be coming straight-ish at the camera {Stephan,} and so there is no need, in my opinion, to leave much of the distracting sunlit water. I never worry about thirds anymore unless it adds something to the strength of the image. In this case, adding light to the subject and her supporting cast seems more important to me. |

I did use sepia, my favorite tint whenever I am shooting the old west. Just a personal favorite that isn't popular with anyone else. |

The trouble with Tribbles... I'm not sure I could get past the look to eat it, good as they might be. Nice capture, sharp and colorful. I looked online since I'd never seen them before, even in Singapore and I think your lighting may have flattened them, as they look more red in other images. I added a radial spot to focus more on a really sharp Rambutan, and a slight vignette to direct my eye. I know you are of the opinion that images should be unaltered, but... |

Much like the Verrazano Narrows and Richmond Bridges in Brooklyn and Oakland that I got to travel to work over. Like Judy, I'd like it better more vertical. Really sharp and a good composition. I cropped off your watermark to work on it and added a warp/transform, and curves adjustment in PS. See if you like any of the changes. |

It looks a little soft to me, but maybe just my eyes. Banyan trees are amazing, and make a good frame for your subject. I took it into Topaz Studio to add sharpening and detail. removed the plastic pumpkin and replaced the other end below the bench, and finally replaced the bright hole in the tree all in PS. See if you like the changes. |

Like Jim, there is something not quite right with the colors. Maybe just being in the bright light of day makes it tough. Like Tam I removed the crane and lens spot. I think I'd replace the sky. Not much can be done about the scaffolding, but return another day. Don't Europeans know we want images, not construction! |

Great composition, sharp as a tack and nice composition. I think I'd like more contrast on the walls, and a radial spot on the bikes to make them stand out a little. Just my opinion, and no preference on the pigeon, except when over my head! |

I assume you got your new housing, and were trying it out. I think it does need cropping, as I'm not sure the sunlight can be lowered without turning it to grey mush. I did add a luminosity mask to get the tangs a little brighter. Probably should have cloned out the partial sharks left from the crop, Terrific action and sharpness. Great work. |

I find the hardest thing for me to do, is to separate my emotions at the time I shoot an image and try to see my image as others will. You HAVE captured a beautiful and impressive landscape. What lens did you use?
If you wish to have your viewers see your tree story, then you will have to use light to lead our eye to that tree, or place yourself (if possible) somewhere to make the tree more prominent in the frame.
Sometimes you will need to simplify your goal for an image.
In my opinion, the tree as shown would have to be separated visually from the nearby rock to make me see it as the subject, or isolate the tree and rock as a contrast between the dead and living trees. |

I love this composition, sharpness, color, everything. I just added a little contrast and a radial spot to lead into the mansion. |

I know you are more of a straight out of the camera guy, but I think some post is required. I think your image is somewhat overexposed, and because the day light is flat, some post would be helpful to direct the viewers eye to the cabin, and to add depth. Support for CS5 is dwindling, so you might want to look into PSCC. |

I am starting to appreciate IR if done correctly and I think this is really done well. The subject has impact. Nice and sharp. I might consider burning more of the dark areas. |

Tack sharp and I'm looking forward to seeing what all the Fuji GFX will do. I like the composition, but I'm not sure where you want us to look. I cropped it, added a vignette and a radial spot in PS. Could became a nice pano of the top too, but you would lose the s-curves. |

The composition is really interesting to me. I like that the tower has some color. I would have liked to see a long exposure to make the water smooth, but that's just my opinion. The bottom part of the loch is pretty cluttered with debris, which I assume is grass, so I thought it should be cropped. I added a gradient in PS to bring out the sky a little. |

Good assessment, Ken. Cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. |
