Thanks,Jim. I seldom sharpen at all. The Fuji glass I use is pretty sharp. and I think their Sony processors add some more sharpening. It will be interesting to see if the Japanese can provide enough quality control to China and the Philippines to keep their products at the same level as before. |

Probably not my best crop, but just giving Tam something to consider when analyzing her own work. |

Judges are entitled to their opinion same as umpires that make managers and players mad. I like our opinions better. I'm glad that you saw this image. It's a keeper. The left two bottles are kind of redundant to me, and I'm not sure I care that much about the window sides. I used the new texture and clarity sliders in LR to change the bottles slightly. Not sure if it is better, just another possibility for an excellent B&W capture. |

Excellent capture, Tam. We have a lot of falls here. Hard to get an overcast day in Hawaii. but they are best for flowers, falls, forests and faces (4 f's.) Sometimes you can have more impact with portions of the falls. See if you like just the bottom. |

I feel pretty much the same as everyone else. Nothing you weren't expecting, I think. Maybe while waiting you could have played with the exposure. B&W might help. |

With the bright sunlight you have and the water reflections, I'm not sure how you ever get correct exposures. Must be a lot of work for you. I'd be tempted to move into B&W photography. Nicely done, I am just adding a little blur (dreamy). |

I know how much you like old building images. This one is sharp, has good exposure, and a beautiful color palette.
I don't think that I would use all the reflection for a couple of reasons. I see some ping pong effect by showing the bright window reflection. That in turn causes the leading lines created by the lumber to be lost. In my opinion it also creates a problem with the exit sign being written backwards. Finally I think it minimizes the color balance between the door and the blue bricks. Maybe I am missing the point, but I think the image looks better to my eye without a full reflection. I am messing up your title though.

Dorinda assures me that it is a large-leaved lupine.
Lupinus polyphyllus is a species of lupine native to western North America from southern Alaska and British Columbia east to Quebec, and western Wyoming, and south to Utah and California. It commonly grows along streams and creeks, preferring moist habitats. Wikipedia |

Here you go. I'm not sure I want to do this every time, but I guess it shows where I need to improve and how much I use PS. |

Excellent image. I can't tell where the "cross" shadow comes from, but it looks like a telephone pole to me. Probably not, but just looks that way to me. I liked Bob P's thought to remove the garage, so I did. While doing that, I decided to darken the cross shadow and remove some stuff to minimize what made me think it was a pole. Just some ideas to play with. Great image. |

Excellent color and clarity. I agree with Paul that it would make a good B&W too. I tried it just to see if I liked it. My version may be too dark, buy you can get an idea. See what you think. |

I agree that this is a well done, sharp image. Rather than crop the shadow, I used the patch tool in PS to remove the shadow on the left. In order to highlight the glacier a bit more, I reduced the luminosity of the background a tad to separate it. A slight blur could accomplish the same thing, or add luminosity and a glow to the glacier. Just my suggestions that you may like. |

This is as close to a perfect photo as I've ever seen. Colors are rich and deep, clarity is perfect, and I am envious. This would be on my wall. Well done. |
