29 Nov 18 Reply Okay, you and especially Bill have gone too far. The Blue Angels Navy and Marines wear "Navy Blue" not USAF azure blue. We are not a homesteader organization, but a highly mobile military quick strike force. The p***cutter is khaki in the navy but not the AF. Theirs are blue, and the planes are white. They also can't find or land on a postage stamp floating in the ocean! At least SAC I consider to be military. Nov 29th
29 Nov 18 Reply No, just exaggerated dirt, part of the cartoon look for me, Nov 29th
29 Nov 18 Reply And you actually get paid to have this much fun! Nov 16th
29 Nov 18 Reply I should have said something before, but is that diver/snorkeler in the upper right a client? Nov 16th
29 Nov 18 Reply Time is money, as they say. Nov 16th
29 Nov 18 Reply She most definitely is. As a nurse and butler I do my best. Nov 16th
29 Nov 18 Reply We don't always see an image in the same way as the creator, mostly because we weren't there. I agree with DSG, that the fence distracts from the scene you saw. It is always hard for me to separate myself from my experience before clicking the shutter, and try to see the image from the viewer's perspective. I guess that makes me an amateur! Everyone else gave positive feedback, so I may not be seeing the image as you saw it. No worries, as is said currently. Nov 16th
29 Nov 18 Comment I'm not sure what I am supposed to look at. The lines all take me nowhere, the guys are all in shadow with their backs to the viewer. I'm not sure what they are looking at. I am afraid I'm being too harsh, but I think it just isn't a subject for me. Nov 13th
29 Nov 18 Comment As a PJ shot, I think it is fine. I like all the blue. Not really sure why he had on his khaki cover (hat) with a flight suit, but all the images on line have that same uniform. Separates us fro AF pilots, I guess. Anyone else ever wonder why you can't see the tail of the F/A 18 Hornet through the canopy? Being retired Navy, I love these top gun officers. Dorinda and I have found the rather cheap Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head has greatly simplified panning, and is a pretty light head. Nov 13th
29 Nov 18 Comment Sharp, nice use of light and shadow, red and black and a splash of yellow. Just enough spectral highlights. Gorgeous composition! Nov 13th
29 Nov 18 Comment Terrific composition, Sharp, Excellent colors and contrast. If you ever can handle Photoshop, removing the building would be a snap, especially with the new content aware fill. Getting back to the subject, I think removing the second lamp would improve the image for me. It works in color. I couldn't tell if you added a texture to the sky or not, but I think it is a wonderful image. Nov 13th
29 Nov 18 Comment I can barely walk, only have one real arm to swim with, and live on the frigid waters of Puget Sound. I used to have salt water aquariums, with limited success. Most of my snorkeling was in Subic Bay and Hanama Bay, so I've never seen this grouping of fish before, but they are spectacularly sharp and the colors are as I've seen the mostly juvenile fish. Normally I'd expect coral and some vegetation, but if this is a typical lagoon in Bora Bora, I'd say that it has sparkling clear water. I'm quite envious, but have no recommendations on equipment I cannot afford. I would probably recommend playing around in LR with the Graduated Radial filter, and try different colors after you get into the filter. I tried selecting a couple of colors in the color picker and added two horizontal gradients, but you could also try a diagonal gradient which might unify better. Gradients may simplify your workflow on these type images, especially if you don't like using PS. Nov 13th
29 Nov 18 Reply I do believe the frame was a mistake on my part. Topaz can cause me to get carried away sometimes. Dorinda broke her right arm yesterday at the NWCCC conference, so my comments may be later than normal. She tripped over the raised stage. 4 hours in the ER instead of having fun, then a three hour drive home in traffic. Nov 11th
29 Nov 18 Reply Thanks. Nov 6th

30 Nov 18 Comment I added a little canvas to the bottom, and converted to old time B&W in PS. I think it may eliminate some of the problems noted above and unify the parts. I think the composition is great with the background included. Nov 15th

33 Nov 18 Comment Great color shot. I have no idea what any of this is, but I think it sets a nice mood. Lots of dynamic horizontal and vertical lines. Nov 15th
33 Nov 18 Reply I agree with you both, the sky must go! Nov 15th
33 Nov 18 Comment I too love boats and in my little brain, when I get a cluttered image, I look to the impressionists for help. Topaz works for me when all else fails. See what you think. Nov 15th
33 Nov 18 Reply You did not. Looking forward to seeing it.

33 Nov 18 Comment Another beautiful image. I like the crop better than the original, but some of the brilliant color was lost. I really like your work/ Nov 15th
33 Nov 18 Comment I can tell already that this group is quite talented, and I will learn a lot. Nice layering in the foreground, middle and background. A lot of depth and mood. I would be really proud of this shot. I couldn't help tweaking a little of the clarity of the foreground, and adding a solid blue gradient in PS/ Nov 15th
33 Nov 18 Comment I really like this composition. Very dynamic lines, triangles, and reflections/ The entire image is sharp, and the color is great, but maybe a little darker and more saturated for my taste. I found the symmetry pleasing, and just slightly off. I'm adding a little light and leveled the image. Beautiful fall image. Nov 15th
