I have never been there, but it looks like Oregon! Water and air temperatures are probably a whole lot different. Sorry you weren't able to get those great Florida clouds this time. In my opinion, your ND filters added a blue color cast. I warmed it up and lightened the sky a tad. |

I think this is sharp. has great color, clarity and detail. I like your choice to shoot vertically too. Well done, Jim |

Beautiful image. Tam. Sharp, excellent colors and exposure. I would like to see more room thogh. Seems cropped too tightly.I'm guessing you cropped it to get the couple in a thirds position, but in this case I wouldn't worry about trying to meet a "rule" as much as giving us the whole story, and I hope the Taj Mahal replica was their inspiration for this kiss. |

I guess I'd like more info about why you converted it to B&W. I like the clarity, and composition. I'd like more sky above the fireworks. You are usually pretty strong on contrast, so I took the liberty of adding some, and removing the other building to simplify the image. I like it overall, but I probably want my fireworks in color. |

We love Bannock, the original MT capital, and have returned several times. I do like the motion. Have you tried it in B&W. I converted this sharp image, and still burned the window and log a little more. Since is not a portrait, but an action photo, more faace would be distracting for me. Of course I have no idea what judges look for. Pretty good detail too, especially using 1000 ISO. |

Thanks, Karen. Coming from you, that is a really nice compliment. In my opinion you are the best technical photographer in our group. I strive to reach your consistency. I may try this in the Washington State Fair. |

It is funny to me that you said that. I never add saturation. I do on some occasions use Fuji Velvia or Adobe vivid as a starting point, and might add contrast, but I haven't found that the Adobe saturation slider is very good either in LR or PS. I usually adjust curves for shadows and highlights. I do have trouble with images in my print being so much flatter than on my monitor. Maybe either my 4k screen makes things too bright, or my Colormunki has trouble with a 4k screen. I know I never liked Leica images much, because they are too washed out for my poor vision. Leica in B&W is a different story. Dorinda would agree that I like things with too much saturation. Since her images do so much better in competition than mine, I guess you two must be correct(if there is such a thing in art.) I guess I'll just need to stay in a study group until you all get through to me! |

Totally digested by now. Probably why he/she didn't fly off right away. Just sat there letting Dorinda, our niece and I shoot at will. |

For a handheld macro shot, I think this is amazing. It looks like velvet, which is more a feeling I think you are trying to show us. It is hard to visualize someone else's art, but maybe a crop would keep enough out of focus to serve your purpose. My copy is a portrait format, but a landscape section could be good if you find one that you like. |
