I knew I could get help from you guys. Sometimes our memories (the cold, windy, bleak) of the feelings get in the way of good imagery. You, Helen and Tam have given me some ideas to help this image. Thanks.
I accidentally deleted Helen's comments while trying to combine them. She suggested removing the spots, which I missed. |

I took this image a couple of years ago, so my shoulder was better. I like the contrast and highlight you added. It gives the scene more impact. Thanks. |

Excellent job with your panning. The exposure looks good to me, but I agree with Judy that more separation is needed. Try f 5.6 and lower the speed to 1/1000 to get a blurred background. The eye is the most important focus spot in life photography. You might consider dodging the pelican's stomach too. Excellent job. |

I like the color and composition. Assuming you used a CP, I think in this case, it showed too much stuff growing under the water. I like Judy's crop, and I might consider trying to lower your white point to see if it will recover any of the lily. It snowed hard all day here in W Yellowstone. Nothing stuck though. |

I like the drama you captured in this image. I can't quite figure out why her dress ends at the top. The dress does provide some separation behind their backs, and there is enough light on his calves and under his feet to provide definition of a stage. Her leg also gives nice definition to his lower body. I think this is an excellent story teller. |

I like the colors, and the concept of this image. In my opinion it would look really good as a print too. There is a slight spot on the right. Couldn't see mine, but I see yours. Go figure. |

I like the colors, and am able to discern nice patterns. I personally like good abstracts, and I think this one should be considered good. |

It is rather dangerous for me to comment right now because my eyes aren't properly focusing, but I can comment elsewhere. While I am not familiar with your camera, we all have a couple of choices we can use in high dynamic range situations. HDR works well, but is computer intensive. Spot metering on the brightest area will at least keep you from blowing out highlights. Nikon has a decent description at http://www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-explore/a/tips-and-techniques/high-dynamic-range-photography.html. Judy's crop makes the composition better in my opinion. I'm happy you were able to get out a little. I'm hoping to get out soon. |

My eyes have been so bad lately, I didn't even see what you were talking about until today. I'll definitely clean the spots up. Thanks. |

The wind was blowing really hard, and there was a light snow, so my lens probably was dirty. The green is not trees, but John Deere farm equipment. Probably a combine or row-crop tractor and baler. Deere would not be happy with a color change! |
