Such a peaceful setting , makes me want to go for a walk. Would like to see a black and white version of this also. |

Either one works, whichever conveys the direction of light best when you finish processing it

Charles, I like how the bridge colors are amplified but for me the sky and water seems at odds with the rest of the color wheel and might benefit from desaturating that. I also think the image will work wonderfully in Black and white. photography like any art is very subjective, so if it looks good to you, then go with it :) |

Trey, I am usually a big fan of black and white and usually process most of my pictures in BW also. On this one though, I like the color version better because you have such beautiful filtered light that you can enhance further, especially on the path, which is a little lost as a leading line in the BW. I would also be tempted to add in filtered sun rays coming in through the trees. Lovely image, the green is so pleasing to the eye |

Wow Lou, I love this image, you have portrayed the scale of it so beautifully. I like Gary's comments on zooming in closer. I like both though and if you retained the original, my personal preference would be to increase the contrast on the browns a tad so the blue pops even more. |

Thank you Charles. I was not sure if the purple worked, I kept going back to more blue tones. Good to know that this works |

Trey, The hardest part about this photo was that I could not get two consistent frames since the water waves in overlapping frames kept changing. So even though I had more images to the right and left, I could not stitch them well in post and had to discard a few images. I stitched them manually in photoshop and actually ended up using images that were not shot in sequence sometimes because the reflection also had to overlap correctly. |

Thank you Gary. Yes, I was using a tripod. I used my bag with heavy lenses to weigh the tripod down which worked out well, since I could not put down the bag in water anyways. Also the tripod quickly sank well into the mud, so stopped shaking once it got a few inches below. Gary, this image made me smile when I first saw it, so the emotional angle of connecting with your audience is great. But similar to Sharon, I also immediately started thinking about how to change the background so there are no distractions on focusing on the cyclists. Lot of potential here to use the canvas of cyclists and be creative with backgrounds and composite images, almost like for advertising story boards |
