Hello Judith,
Thank you for interest for my january image, I will do so tomorrow and put it to the drop box. This image is an experiment and it was not in my mind when I began, so I will write a text in word and put images for explanation.

as a first thought I like the second approach from Jane and thank you Peter to give your view what is also very impressive, I like the dark roof and the contrast.

Hello Judith,
I totally agree to give more space above the building what makes it stronger, thank you.
I have now submitted actually both versions to competitions, the darker and the lighter one and I am curious which version will have more success.
Depending on the results I will make a new version taking the other comments into account.

Hello Tracy and Jane, thank you very much for your comments. As I probably told, with black and white images I like to improve, a mistake I often did with Color Images was, that I put too much color in, so for this Picture I had a version where the clouds are more soft. My thought was to create tension between the building and the sky. But please see the version 1 picture.
What do you and the Group think?

very good high key, for me a little bit too sharp, is it this what Tracy meant with pixelation? |

very good, the whole range from black and white graduation is present and the chrome looks good, I see foots in the bumper and may be other things in the other chrome parts? |

very good landscape and jpg 2 looks better for me because of more contrast and what is very interesting for me that the contribution of the different graduation of the grey scale is more or less same over the whole range, that's why it looks so balanced to me |
